Accessibility
Last updated 5 October 2026
We want everyone to be able to shop with us, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
How we build the site
- Every page is designed to work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Our text and button colours were chosen to meet WCAG contrast levels, most of them the stricter AAA level.
- Pages use proper headings, labels and landmarks for screen readers, and images have text descriptions.
- Pages are built to work when zoomed to 200%, and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels.
- Nothing flashes, and nothing moves on its own.
- Signing in has no puzzles or memory tests, and works with password managers.
How we test, and known problems
We test every type of page with automated accessibility checks, and by hand with a keyboard and on small screens. We haven't yet tested with every screen reader, and the site hasn't had an independent audit. We don't know of any problems at the moment; when we find one, we'll list it here with when we'll fix it. Payment happens on Stripe's checkout page, which Stripe maintains to its own accessibility standards.
